It’s well known illegal drugs are often laced with other materials to increase profits, supply, effect, and addiction. Ex: Embalming Fluid, Caffeine, Baking Soda, etc.

Racism
While African-Americans constitute 13% of the nation's monthly drug users, they represent 35% of those persons arrested for drug possession, 55% of drug possession convictions, and 74% of those sentenced to prison for drug possession.

Freedom
If an action does not harm anyone but yourself, should it be considered a crime. Over consuming, smoking, drinking, and how about drugs.

Legality has advantages
Age limits, less drug related violence, jobs, tax revenue, free up jails, and policing time and cost.
